S11 Day 38: Sorrowful Mysteries in Thanksgiving

Welcome back to day 38 of our 54-day Rosary Novena. I'm your host Maritza Mendez. Thank you so much for joining us in prayer today. And a warm welcome to those who are joining for the very first time.
Family, today we honor Our Lady of Sorrows, a title that reflects the deep suffering that Mary endured through her life, especially during the passion and death of Jesus. The devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows focuses on the seven sorrows that pierced her heart, including the prophecy of Simeon, the escape into Egypt, the loss of the child Jesus in the temple, Mary’s meeting with Jesus on the way to Calvary, the crucifixion and death of Jesus, the taking down of His body from the cross, and His burial.
Mary’s sorrows show us the depth of her faith and trust in God, even in moments of unimaginable pain. She is the perfect example of how to endure suffering with faith, knowing that God is with us in our trials. Her tears remind us that in our own sorrows, we can turn to her for comfort and strength.
Did you know that Mary has over 1,500 titles and names? Today, we focus on Our Lady of Sorrows, but she is also known by titles like Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Fatima, Queen of Peace, and many more. These names reflect her appearances, miracles, and the ways she has helped people around the world. Each name highlights a different aspect of her role as our spiritual mother and intercessor, showing how she connects with people from every culture and nation.

Family, today we’re praying the Sorrowful Mysteries in thanksgiving.
Blessed Mother, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, be with us in our prayers as we pray for the grace of peace, patience, and perseverance. We humbly request your intercession, lifting up the special intentions that reside within our hearts.
Blessed Mother, on the feast day of Our Lady of Sorrows, we pray for all who are suffering, may they find comfort and strength through your loving intercession.
