Hello, family, and welcome to 54 Days of Roses. Today is Ash Wednesday, marking both the start of Lent and Day 1 of our 54-Day Rosary Novena. I’m your host, Maritza Mendez.
Ash Wednesday begins our journey through Lent—a sacred period of 40 days of fasting, prayer, and penance as we prepare to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday. The ashes we receive today are a powerful reminder of our humanity and the call to repentance—“Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
Lent invites us to reflect, grow closer to God, and embrace acts of fasting, prayer, and almsgiving. It’s a time to examine our hearts and let go of anything that keeps us from fully loving God and others.
And what better way to deepen our prayer life this Lent than by starting this 54-Day Rosary Novena together?
How the Novena Works:
We’ll pray the Rosary for 54 consecutive days—the first 27 days in petition, asking our Blessed Mother to intercede for our intentions, followed by 27 days in thanksgiving, trusting that God hears our prayers.
Each day, we’ll meditate on the traditional mysteries of the Rosary, including the Luminous Mysteries this season.
New episodes are released daily at 3:00 AM Eastern Time, so you can start your day in prayer or listen when it fits your schedule.

Blessed Mother, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, we ask for your intercession as we pray for the grace of unity in our families, strength in our faith, wisdom in discernment, and the right use of technology to deepen our human connections.
