S12 Day 46 - Sorrowful Mysteries in Thanksgiving

Hello family, and welcome to day 46 of our 54-Day Rosary Novena. I'm your host Maritza Mendez. Thank you so much for joining us today and a very warm welcome to anyone who is joining for the first time.

Today is Holy Saturday, a quiet, sacred day of waiting. Jesus lies in the tomb, and all of heaven and earth holds its breath. This day invites us into stillness, into silence, and into trust.

In a world that is constantly moving and noisy, silence can feel uncomfortable. But it’s in that silence that God often speaks the loudest. Today is about embracing that silence—letting our hearts rest, reflect, and prepare for the joy of the Resurrection.

So what do we do today as Catholics? We wait. We pray. We reflect. We keep vigil. Some attend the Easter Vigil Mass this evening, the most beautiful and powerful liturgy of the year. But even if you’re not able to attend, take a moment to sit in quiet prayer. Light a candle. Read Scripture. Be still.

God is working, even in the silence.

 Day 46 - Sorrowful Mysteries in Thanksgiving

Today, on day 46, we are praying the Sorrowful Mysteries in Thanksgiving. 

Blessed Mother, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, we ask for your intercession as we sit in quiet expectation. Teach us to wait with hope, to listen with open hearts, and to trust in the promise of Resurrection. We pray for unity in our families, strength in our faith, wisdom in discernment, and the right use of technology to deepen our human connections.
