S9 Day 1 - Joyful Mysteries in Petition
Hello my beautiful family!
Welcome to Season 9!
It brings me great joy to welcome you to season 9 of 54 Days of Roses. In this season, we will unite in prayer to ask for an increase in our Faith. And what better way to start our novena than today, October 7th on the feast day of our Lady of the Rosary! We will pray this Novena through October into November
.๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง. If you're joining us for the first time, welcome to this beautiful family of prayer. For the next 54 days, we will pray the Rosary and ask for our Blessed Mother's intercession. Our intention for this season is to pray for an increase in our faith and uplift the special intentions that reside in your hearts.
๐๐จ๐ฐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ฒ. We will pray the rosary for 54 consecutive days, without missing a single day. The Novena is divided into two parts: the first 27 days are prayed in petition, and the following 27 days are prayed in thanksgiving. We are going to meditate on the traditional mysteries of the rosaries.
The novena always starts with:
The joyful Mysteries on the First day, no matter which day of the week you begin.
On the second day, you pray the Sorrowful Mysteries.
And on the third day, you pray the Glorious mysteries.
After that, you repeat the cycle starting again with the Joyful Mysteries and continuing throughout the entire 54 days of the Novena. I've made a chart for you and you can download a copy of the schedule and the prayers on our website under the section "How to pray".
If you noticed we are not praying the luminous mysteries but you are welcome to include them. Pope John Paul II introduced the luminous mysteries in 2002 and these mysteries are not typically included in the 54-day Novena.

Let's get started. Today, on day 1, we are praying the Joyful Mysteries in Petition.
Today, as we celebrate the Feast Day of our Lady of the Rosary, we are reminded of the powerful tool of prayer that the Rosary represents. Just as Mary held the mysteries of Christ's life close to her heart, we, too, seek to meditate on these mysteries and draw closer to our Lord.Blessed Mother, your example of faith and obedience is a guiding light for us. As we embark on this journey through the Joyful Mysteries, we ask for your guidance in understanding and living out the lessons they convey.
Blessed Mother, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, we humbly request your intercession for an increase in our faith. Blessed Mother, we pray for the special intentions that reside within our hearts. Blessed Mother, we pray to have our hearts open to listen to the words of Jesus. May we align our lives to God's teachings. May we be persistent in our prayers and trust in God's generosity.
On this special day, we entrust our intentions to your loving care. We bring before you the hopes, dreams, and concerns of all those who have joined us in prayer, whether through this podcast, email, Instagram, or YouTube.
